I find your edited copy far more striking than the original. Almost entirely because of the light and color, though. I believe I'd feel exactly the same impact if you hadn't altered the shape of her face. Except the eyebrow and sharp cheekbone. Those are both important to the final's impact.
Thanks!! I am glad you can see these alterations as an underlining of her characteristic bone structure (at least I hope I understood you right here) which I was trying to accentuate mostly by carving (or PWL)
i really like the tones of this, but when you altered her cheekbone, it looks very unnatural, and makes her look a bit evil. otherwise great job, and i think the hair is stunning on this. nice choices with it
I love that you kept the hair natural and just removed the nasty fly aways..But you've lost a lot of shapes in the face and the eyes. She's really beautiful and you've made a lot of unnecessary changes... and I don't want to sound harsh, I usually say my opinion when I care about the picture.
dont worry about sounding harsh...you know how much I appreciate your statements and thank you very much!! I wanted to give her glance a dramatic effect but the only changes I made on her were drawing the eyebrow and lashes and using lights to underline certain parts like her forehead...
..And you lost that shape next to her nose and that's making her face flat. I think that you can make her eyes pop without reshaping the eyebrow because now it looks unnatural to me. I'll think about this a little more may be (:
how true this is!!! this was the last thing I felt unsure about and flattened that shadow between nose and cheek! ah damn! i should listen to my instinct sometimes! about the eyebrow...i made 3 of this girl...and on the first image I've done her eyebrow was shaped similar to that...so i made all 3 pretty equal... please check : [link]
haha while you were answering i wanted to show you exactly what i meant so we don't confuse each other ( [link] ) and that's exactly what you went for in the second and third photos so.. yeah. good job!
