i think you should crop around 150 pixels off the bottom of this. Her hand looks freaky - its too long (i appreciate its real but it still looks wrong). Also her neck looks all fat and bloated. It could use a soft shadow line running from her mid ear down to the front of her shoulder. Just some constructive criticism, hope it helps.
Oh my stars, you have talent! This retouch completely changed the quality of lighting, texture and transformed the composition to even more eye catching. Wouls absolutely be interested in working together!
i can't recommend the best way...i just can tell how it worked for me.... i started at Model Mayhem retoucher's forum picking exercise RAWs...a lot of practice...till i built up a portfolio, then i got noticed and contacted. just a lot of luck and a lot of commitment!
It's a nice retouch, but it looks more like a digital painting rather than a photo - most because of the eyes and lips. The eyes are too bright in the white, also the teeth. I like the hair, that's nicely done, but the hair above her forehead doesn't work. The eyebrows are nice also and I like the skinwork and its shine.
1.The lips lost ALL its shine, they became very flat and almost plastic. I love the contouring of them however. , but maybe add a duplicate layer of the original on-top of the final edit and select "lighten" on its blending mode. Then Select Contrast and make it very contrasted ( so that only the shiny parts are showing ) and then mask it so that only the lips are showing. If you need more shiny, then use the clone-stamp , set to lighten and clone from the shiny parts onto the rest of the lips.
2. Secondly, and this is purely a matter of taste, but thanks to the angle of the shot, her neck is HUGE. Maybe a slight liquify might help reduce that a little. A lot of people have an issue with the ethics of using the Liquify tool, but its purely a matter of not making her look anorexic but proportional.
3. All of that being said, the postwork on this is MANUFIQUE ! I love the skin texture !! Id love to know how you did that ! and the eyebrow contouring is fantastic. If this were my image, Id be pretty damn proud.
thanksssss for your comment! really great! lol for the lips...i am normally the shine-queen putting shine and glow everywhere. now i went for the first time for a MATT lipstick creating layer over layer never being satisfied...and thanks for this great tip...have to try asap! well...skin texture is just d&b and a little bit contouring. thank you so much!
